Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one, if not the greatest football players of all time. The 31 year old Portuguese forward has one of the most all round abilities that see him score goals regularly for his current team Real Madrid.
But one of Christiano’s greatest abilities is his blistering pace. He is recorded as having a 100m time of a little over 10 seconds, putting him in the league of the worlds top sprinters. To put into perspective that’s over 24 MPH!
Unlike top sprinters, Christiano can’t just be fast in a straight line, he needs to be able to twist and turn very quickly also. But how does he achieve this quick footwork?
The answer is by working with top footwork coach, the legendary “King Feet” also known as Luis Badillo Jr, claimed to have the quickest feet on the planet.
Luis, a Miami based resident got into speed work relatively late at the age of 22 he started experimented with agility and ladder work and found he had a natural born talent. Through lots of hard work and getting noticed in local parks, he went on to work with some of the worlds top sports stars, honing and developing his footwork.
As well as his unquestionable ability, his new found fame has social media to thank, with an Instagram following of over 202k followers. This has lead him to building a client list of over 200 with no less then 10 top athletes.
If you want to improve your foot speed for your chosen sport then you might want to give one of Luis’s famous ladder drills a go? Remember to always warm up before trying any strenuous exercise and take care not to trip up and injure yourself. More importantly, have fun.
