Anyone who is experienced in archery or has just taken a few classes will tell you that it’s a very difficult discipline to master.

It’s a sport that requires patience, accuracy, excellent co-ordination and most importantly, a very steady hand. So internet audiences across the world have been rightfully amazed by the emergence of a video featuring a young woman capable of shooting a bow and arrow…. with her feet!

The footage shows Sofie Dossi, a 15-year-old American schoolgirl, exhibit incredible athleticism to perform the amazing trick during a halftime performance at a basketball game in the United States.

Fans attending the Florida vs Tennessee game were left stunned by the display as the talented youngster operated and loaded a bow and arrow using just her feet before firing an incredible bullseye shot!

Self taught

Sofie is a contortionist, hand balancer and aerialist who is completely self-taught and first came to public attention in the summer of 2016 when she caught the eye of Simon Cowell on the America’s Got Talent television series. As the video below shows, there’s a reason he was so impressed!

Although the youngster from California grew up with plenty of experience as a competitive gymnast and dancer, her talent for contortion only become apparent when she became fascinated by the performances of contortionist acts she watched on the video sharing platform, YouTube.

Only 12-years-old at the time, determined Sofie made the most of the strength and flexibility she had gained through her gymnastic training and began to practice contortion at her home. The rest, as they say, is history.

A multi-talented performer who can also add hand balancing and aerial gymnastics to her list of talents, Sofie even conceived and developed the unique archery stunt that has made her a global sensation.

Performer of the Year

A youngster with an undoubted and unique talent Sofie now performs for various audiences throughout America, including corporate and large sporting events, as she builds what promises to be a long and impressive career.

Her talent has certainly not gone unnoticed by the big sports media in the US, with ESPN and Sports Center just two of the TV channels that have featured her performances. Sofie was even endorsed by revered print magazine Sports Illustrated who referred to her as the ‘halftime performer of the year.’
