UK’s Largest Female Feet Struggle With Finding Shoes For Wedding.

Shoe shopping is usually an enjoyable experience; for everyone. There’s a wide variety to try out from loafers, sneakers, heels, boots and wedge shoes. Even when window shopping, there is a thrill which comes with seeing shoes that you desire.

This is not the case for Julie Felton though, as she is desperate to find shoes for her wedding. Julie Felton, 49 has the largest female feet in the United Kingdom, and it has been a struggle finding shoes that fit.

The bride to be, Julie Felton of Ellesmere is set to get married to her fiancé Steve Evans, 44 in April. Felton is 6ft 5in, while Evans is 6ft 3in and getting wedding shoes is proving to be quite a challenge.

How Large are Felton’s Feet?

Julia Felton’s feet measures about 30.48cm, which is around 12 inches, and she wears size 15. She suffered a growth disorder as a child, which affected her feet and saw it grow to that length. Julia Felton gets by, wearing men’s shoes, as she hardly finds any women shoes of her size. She is a pharmacy technician working at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and she wears her men’s shoes to work everyday. Her fiancé’s feet is even nowhere as large as hers. Julia Felton wants her wedding to be perfect and leaving no stones unturned in getting herself nice shoes.

£1000 Is a Small Fortune For Shoes

Julia Felton is a divorcee and had a pair of court shoes made for her wedding, 24 years ago. She however dyed them black, after the wedding meaning she can’t use them anymore. The court shoes were made for free back then, but this time around, £1000 is being demanded to make her new court shoes. The money is a small fortune, and seemingly unaffordable for Felton. She has spoken previously, confirming that she probably has the biggest feet of any woman in the UK. Felton, like every other bride also expressed her heartfelt desire for a perfect wedding; saying ” Just like any other bride I want my outfit to be perfect, including my shoes”. She has come across a number of beautiful shoes, only to discover they are not available in size 15. Felton is still on the mission to find herself perfect wedding shoes.

With the wedding coming up in April, Julia Felton and Steve Evans are hopeful and positive about sorting the shoe problem. Steve Evans is a storeman and also cannot afford the £1000 price for new court shoes to be made for Felton.

Evans was quoted as saying ”I can’t wait. I just hope we sort out the shoe situation.” Felton is hopeful that someone, might have a beautiful idea on how she could get a beautiful pair of wedding shoes without having to pay as much as £1000.

This lovely couple will surely figure something out, and find a way to make their wedding perfect.
